Dr Katherine Sowden

Katherine has 3 daughters and is passionate about women’s health, reproductive medicine and the delivery of compassionate, individualised care.

In addition to her work at Fertility Associates, Katherine has a busy private gynaecology practice where she has a special interest in enhancing fertility outcomes, menstrual disorders, pelvic pain and the management of premalignant gynaecological disorders. Katherine is also a Consultant Gynaecologist at Counties Manukau Health, where she enjoys teaching and mentoring future specialists and working in the Faster Cancer Treatment Team. Katherine was the Clinical Lead for Gynaecology at Counties Manukau Health between 2014 to 2023 before stepping down to further her passion for fertility medicine.
