Karin Schwenke

Karin grew up in South Africa where she qualified as a Registered Nurse & Midwife in 1998. Her career in Fertility Nursing started in the United Kingdom in 2000 where she trained and worked as a Fertility Nurse for 4 years. During this time, she completed a Certification course in Assisted Conception through the University of Leeds. She worked as a Senior Fertility Nurse and Team Leader in Cape Town, South Africa, for 15 years before moving to New Zealand in 2019 when she joined Fertility Associates. She obtained her ESHRE nurse certification in June 2022 with the 2nd highest score overall in the exam. Karin is also trained in performing follicle tracking ultrasound scans.

Karin leads the team of fertility nurses with enthusiasm and always strives to improve processes to provide exceptional patient care.

Outside of work Karin enjoys playing hockey, tennis, mountain biking and spending time outdoors with her husband and two daughters.
