Dr Sandeep Naik

Sandeep is a proud New Zealand Indian, born and bred in Wellington. He prides himself on being genuine, caring, friendly and approachable with patients.

Sandeep is currently working at Hutt hospital as a consultant specialist in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. As part of completing his sub-specialization to obtain CREI (Certificate in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility – the highest training level for Fertility in Australasia), Sandeep has completed a fellowship at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney, Australia and has gained international experience in the fertility field. Sandeep runs his private practice from our Wellington clinic, where he sees gynaecology and fertility patients.

Sandeep has seen first hand the significant stress and grief patients can go through with issues of infertility and reproductive endocrinology. He is committed to working alongside patients to navigate these challenging pathways and achieve realistic goals for their families.

Sandeep has an undergraduate Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry and Genetics before obtaining his medical degree also with the University of Otago. He is a clinical lecturer with the University of Otago, Wellington Medical school with a passion for teaching.

Outside of work, Sandeep is a sports fanatic particularly passionate about hockey and cricket. He also loves travelling and spending time with family.
