Margaret has worked as a fertility counsellor with Fertility Associates in Wellington since 1996. She trained in clinical psychology at the University of Otago and is a member of the New Zealand Association of Counsellors and the Australian and New Zealand Infertility Counsellors Association. She has served on the executive committee for the Australian and New Zealand Infertility Counsellors Association. Margaret leads the Fertility Associates counselling team.
Margaret has extensive experience supporting couples and individuals through fertility treatment. She can assist with decision-making and preparation for those hoping to become parents through donor conception and surrogacy. She meets with people offering to be donors or surrogates, helping them to consider the lifelong implications of a decision to help others in this way. Margaret also has a role in supporting donor-conceived people who are seeking information and links with their parents’ donors and the other families helped by the same donor
