Caren August

Caren is a Registered Psychologist who has worked in the area of mental health and wellbeing for well over a decade. She was born and raised in the Waikato, where she has returned after studying and building her professional skills in Wellington and the Manawatu. Prior to joining Fertility Associates at the beginning of 2019, Caren’s focus was on general mental health and wellbeing, which remains a special interest for her. In her role with Fertility Associates, Caren supports patients with a wide range of topics including infertility and treatment, decision making, donor conception and surrogacy, fertility preservation and closure. She also supports people conceived through fertility treatment such as donation.

As a Psychologist, Caren is registered with the New Zealand Psychologist Board and holds a current practicing certificate. She is also an active member of the Australia and New Zealand Infertility Counsellors Association, and currently serves on their Executive Board.
